I just painted a birdhouse to put in Jane's room...and thought I'd share it with you guys. Why birds? Not sure--just loved the crib bedding, saved up for it and got it. Then I just kept going with it...makes it feel like a garden or something, I guess. And there's something fairy-taleish about little singing birds flitting about (brings to mind images of Cinderella, who doesn't even have to lift a finger after showering when she needs a towel--her little birdie friends are right there to do the job for her, all the while singing and whistling, "A dream is a wish you heart makes" (all you girls know the song by heart and are humming right now, I bet!)
Off to bed! Next post, I will put some pictures of actual people, I promise!
